Whole Foods is coming to the Town of Hempstead. The landlord, Midwood Management, was represented by Ken and Stanley Schuckman of Schuckman Realty/TCN Worldwide in the lease negotiations.
The grocery chain plans to open the store at the property that had been home to a vacant 47,500-square-foot former Pepsi bottling plant and a 27,200-square-foot warehouse for Staples. Whole Foods, which signed a long-term lease with renewal options, is hoping to start construction on the store this year and plans to have it open in 2020.
