PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Albert Schulman, CCIM, specializes in the sale and leasing of office, industrial, commercial, investment, and vacant properties in the metropolitan area of Chicago. He has been actively engaged in the real estate brokerage business since 1965. After 30 years with The Rubloff Company, he joined Paine/Wetzel Associates. In addition to attending Northwestern University, he has taken appraisal, construction, and related real estate courses.
Al was one of the ten charter members of the Illinois Chapter of the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and served as President of the Illinois Chapter in 1978. He was also President of the Salesman Club of the Chicago Board of Realtors, Chairman of the Commercial Investment Committee of the North Side Real Estate Board, and President of the Association of Industrial Real Estate Brokers (AIRE), the largest Industrial Association in Illinois and was giving an honorary award in 2011.
Al was awarded the CCIM designation (Certificate #498) conferred by the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute (CIREI), which recognizes expertise demonstrated through education, experience and knowledge of the marketplace. Only 15,000 professionals worldwide in over 1,000 cities across North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East hold this designation, the PhD of Commercial Real Estate. In 2001 Al Schulman was nominated for “Sales Transaction of the Year” at the annual Sun-Times Broker Award Banquet and in 2015, Al was inducted into the Midwest Real Estate News Hall of Fame.
