Matthew Garcia

Matthew Garcia has been in the commercial real estate industry for almost 15 years. Prior to recently rejoining Long & Foster Commercial he spent the previous 10 Years in New York City with Besen & Associates, an investment real estate firm. He managed commercial transactions in all parts of the metropolitan New York area, with particular expertise in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx. He has directly sourced and closed in excess of $250M in sales over his career with a diverse track record spanning various multifamily investment properties through strategic and complex development assemblage transactions.

Prior to joining Besen & Associates, Matt worked in investment sales at another Manhattan based commercial firm. He originally began his commercial real estate career in the Washington, DC market where he worked for three years in the commercial division of Long & Foster. There he brokered over 40 transactions across all property types, including multifamily, retail, office and industrial. Matt’s dedicated, persistent and patient approach combined with his proficient negotiating skills have allowed him to thrive in his first decade in the business.
