Hotel, restaurants could replace car dealership on Wolf Road

Wolf Road in Colonie, NY, would lose a car dealership but gain another hotel and more restaurants as part of the latest real estate deal on the bustling road.

The president of Lazare Lincoln signed a contract to sell the land on which the dealership sits at 144 Wolf Road to commercial real estate broker Howard Carr.

The dealership would be moved to a new, smaller location in Colonie, though not on Wolf Road.

Carr, president of The Howard Group/TCN Worldwide in Colonie, plans to tear down the dealership to clear the way for new buildings.

A national developer working with Carr will build a hotel with 100 to 110 rooms. There will also be a retail store and two restaurants, he said.

He estimated the total development cost at $15 million to $17 million, not including the real estate...
