2020 TCN Worldwide Spring Conference ~ POST-CONFERENCE WRAP-UP

POST-CONFERENCE WRAP-UP ~ Presentation Files Available

Thank you to all who joined us in sunny San Diego for this year's TCN Worldwide Spring Conference. At this year's conference, in addition to the many longstanding members in attendance, we had the great pleasure of introducing the 11 new firms that have joined TCN Worldwide in the last 14 months and announcing the release of TCN Worldwide's first podcast—TCN Worldwide Market Minutes!

In addition to the many new faces, learning about the various new markets, and launching a podcast—this year's event included an OUTSTANDING keynote speaker, Jack Daly; a variety of outside educational speakers; panel discussions; breakout sessions; and fun opportunities to network with your TCN peers. Everyone's favorite funny (yes, it's true) real estate economist, Mark Dotzour, delivered an entertaining and informative presentation discussing the CRE economic outlook. TCN's Barry Beitler of Beitler Commercial in Los Angeles and Tim Mitchell of Norris & Stevens, Inc. in Portland led an insightful investor/lender panel discussion and Graig Griffin from TCN member-firm Windermere Commercial in Salt Lake City led a fast-paced session discussing how to successfully leverage high-level relationships. The feedback from this year's TCN attendees has been extremely positive and it's clear Jack Daly resonated with our audience! We're working to bring him back for next year's Spring Conference to be held in Austin!

We would like to thank everyone who helped make this year's Spring Conference a success. Thank you to our 2020 partners and to the many speakers that are listed in the section below with links to their presentation materials. We'd also like to thank our new affiliate in San Diego, Pacific Coast Commercial, for being such a gracious host and sharing their sunshine with us for a few days!

In addition to the educational and networking sessions, we were pleased to have had the opportunity to honor a few of our most active members at this year's awards reception. This year's awards went to:

  • David Wallach, Barclay Street Real Estate (Calgary, Alberta), who initiated the transaction with the highest value in the last year, a transaction to Unique Properties for Triumph Real Estate Investment Fund Trust, with a transaction value of $5.6 million.
  • Ben Azulay with Bradford Allen Realty Services (Chicago, Illinois) initiated the most number of transactions in 2019 with 7 transactions initiated.
  • The McCullough/Cassell Team (Trent McCullough & Mark Cassell) from Levrose Commercial (Phoenix, Arizona) were named the TCN Worldwide Team Players of the year for their work in leading the TCN Retail Group and their continued support of TCN through collaboration and willingness to share their expertise both on the specialty group calls and as an instructor at last year's TCN Institute.

Closing out the conference, Susan Goldstein from MS&C Commercial (Sarasota, Florida) won the Partner Passport $300 cash drawing held at the end of this year's event.

Thank you to all of our attendees, presenters, and 2020 partners: Buildout, CoStar/LoopNet, CREXi, Biproxi, Rhino, RealPage, Valuation Alliance, Dealius, CompStak, Cost Segregation Services, Inc.—CSSI, Securiti by The Guarantors, and CCIM Institute.
